Giant Hogweed is it’s name, and it is toxic. DO NOT TOUCH IT! It can cause severe skin and eye irritation, painful blistering, permanent scarring and even blindness.
If you see this plant do not try and kill it yourself, contact the Michigan Department of Agriculture or the Michigan Invasive Plant Council. This plant has recently been spotted in Oakland County and in Jackson. Take a look at this video for more information.
